Raising voices : MQM demands appointment of administrators

Parliamentarians spoke on the water shortage and said that 30 per cent of Karachi continues to be deprived of water

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) parliamentarians on Monday demanded appointment of administrators for Karachi and Hyderabad, to deal with any emergency caused by the forecasted monsoon rains.


MQM showed their concern regarding civic issues at a meeting held at the chambers of the leader of the opposition in Sindh Assembly. MQM MPA Khawaja Izharul Hassan said that, for the past two years, the city’s major nullahs have not been cleared, and asked the government to get them cleared.

The parliamentarians spoke on the water shortage and said that 30 per cent of Karachi continues to be deprived of water.
