PML-Q urges govt to reconsider price hike
.

PML-Q leader Muhammad Sadiq Sheikh has appealed to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to review the recent increase in petroleum product prices, warning of its severe impact on the common man.
In a statement, Sheikh stressed that the government should exercise restraint and adopt measures of prudence amid the ongoing global energy crisis. He added that Pakistan's official fleet of 100,000 vehicles consumes around 835,000 litres of petrol daily.
"We urge the government to strictly limit official protocols for ministers and high-ranking officers and regulate the use of official vehicles," he said, adding that such measures could save billions of rupees in fuel costs and ease the inflationary burden on the public.
Sheikh warned that salaried and daily-wage workers cannot sustain the current petrol prices.
