Two killed in separate firing incidents
UK-returned man, labourer from Kashmore shot dead in Jatli and Rawat areas

Two people, including a British-returned Pakistani citizen and a labourer from Kashmore, were killed in separate firing incidents in Rawalpindi.
In the first incident, Azhar Iqbal, a resident of Baolay Kalan, registered a case with Jatli police stating that he was entering his house after Isha prayers when an unidentified man, whom he could identify if produced before him, suddenly approached from behind and opened fire.
He said he sustained bullet injuries and fell to the ground, while family members rushed outside after hearing the gunshots. Rescue 1122 shifted him to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Police sources said the deceased had returned to Pakistan from Britain a few months ago and remained active in welfare activities. Police have added murder charges to the case and started searching for the suspect.
In another incident within the limits of Rawat police station, a labourer identified as Shafiq Ahmed, belonging to Kashmore, was shot dead in what police described as a blind murder case.
Police led by SHO Ikram Bhatti reached the scene after receiving information and collected evidence. Police said the victim was shot twice in the chest.
The body was shifted to hospital for post-mortem examination, while the victim's relatives were travelling from Kashmore to Rawalpindi.
According to family members, the deceased worked in the folding business in Rawalpindi.
