KARACHI:

The Anti-Terrorism Administrative Court has handed over a suspect, accused of working for an Indian agency, to the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on a two-day physical remand.

A hearing of the case was held where CTD presented the accused Arsalan.

Arsalan is accused of facilitating and transferring funds to other individuals before their arrest. CTD requested a remand on the grounds of carrying out further investigation.

The court approved the remand and ordered the investigating officer to submit a progress report at the next hearing.

Another suspect, Umair, revealed to the Joint Investigation Team that he was involved in the murder of Abdur Rehman. The murder was reportedly carried out on the instructions of Indian citizen Sanjay Sanjeev Kumar alias Fauji, associated with India agency RAW, in Matli.

Arsalan is alleged to have transferred funds for the killing. The weapon used in the murder was supplied by Umair. An amount of up to Rs3.3 million was allegedly transferred to the accounts of Salman alias Bhallu (Umair's cousin) and Fahad Naseer.
