Suspect discloses that he has been involved in large-scale drug trafficking in Karachi since 1998

The Rangers and police have arrested drug traffickers and street criminals during different operations on Tuesday.

In a joint operation, Rangers and police arrested a narcotics dealer and supplier, Mir Zaman alias Mana, from Saadi Town area of district Malir. Weapons and drugs were recovered from his possession.

During the preliminary investigation, the suspect disclosed that he had been involved in large-scale drug trafficking in Karachi since 1998 and supplying drugs to the small dealers in the city.

The suspect disclosed that he used to get drugs from Quetta through freight vehicles and supply in different areas of Karachi including Kochi Camp, Madina Colony, Sohrab Goth, Water Pump, Safoora Goth and Saadi Town.

The accused has been handed over to police for further legal action.

Meanwhile, the Sohrab Goth police have arrested Gul Muhammad Dodo and Nadir Khan and recovered a snatched mobile phone, cash, illegal weapons and a motorcycle without number plate from their possession.

According to police, the arrested suspects were fleeing after snatching a mobile phone and cash from a businessman Saim.

The police chased the suspects and arrested them near Shadbagh Cut in Scheme-33. Their two accomplices, Ghato and Bahar Gul, managed their escape.

The arrested suspects disclosed during the preliminary investigation that they were habitual criminals and were previously arrested in cases pertaining to narcotics and street crimes. The suspects have confessed their involvement in dozens of street crimes in the area of Sachal and Site Super Highway.
