KARACHI:

Teams have started their practice sessions in the city ahead of the second phase of the HBL-Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, with matches set to be played at the National Stadium.

Hyderabad Kingsmen held an intensive training session on Friday at the Hanif Mohammad Regional Cricket Academy Oval Ground. Following recent rains, players began practice cautiously before moving into full training mode.

The session was conducted under the supervision of head coach Joseph Gillespie and captain Marnus Labuschagne, with particular focus on strengthening the batting lineup. However, Saim Ayub, who is part of the Kingsmen squad, did not appear to be fully fit during the practice.

In contrast, Peshawar Zalmi opted to rest and will commence their training sessions from Saturday.

Teams including Karachi Kings and defending champions Lahore Qalandars are scheduled to arrive in Karachi on Saturday.
