KARACHI:

The Sindh High Court has directed the Sindh government for immediate payment of group insurance to its employees in a petition seeking payment of group insurance to 500,000 employees of the provincial government.

Two murder suspects
acquitted

The Sindh High Court has granted the appeal of two suspects in a case pertaining to murder of four members of the same family. A two-member bench headed by Justice KK Agha while ruling on the appeals of the accused Adil Hussain and Abdul Basit acquitted them.

The court ruled that the statement of witness Muneeza could not be fully relied upon. The accused were sentenced by a special court to life imprisonment and fines. Defence lawyer Khawaja Naveed Advocate had argued that the murder was a result of a dispute between the Muttahida Qaumi Movement and Lyari Gang War.
