Isra University awards 423 degrees

The university awarded 423 graduates degrees, at the varsity’s 18th annual convocation held in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD:

Isra University, Hyderabad conferred academic degrees on its 423 graduates at the varsity’s 18th annual convocation held in Hyderabad on Saturday. Some 269 students graduated in medical, dental, nursing and physiotherapy programmes.

Another 135 students received their graduate and postgraduate degrees in business administration, computer sciences, electrical engineering, information technology. In the medical, dental, nursing and physiotherapy programs, 12 students were given postgraduate degrees, while one was awarded a doctor of philosophy degree in the field of medical science.

Six students from the department of management sciences were also awarded Ph.D degrees. The students Dua Bukhari Syed, Anus Rizwan Akhund, Rida-e-Zainab, Warda Ahmed, Nida Nawaz Baloch, Qirat, Waqar Qureshi, Hassan Ahmed Shaikh, Samar Siddiqui and Mohammad Shahjahan were awarded the gold medals.

Govinda Lohana, Neha Javed, Simran Bajaj, Fatija, Vareesha Ali Pahnwar, Tareen Ejaz, Nabeel Raza and Noor Ahmed Arfeen secured silver medals and Muhammad Ibrahim Memon, Asma Farooqui, Mahnoor, Maoeza shaikh, Dhansha Bai lakhwa, Maham Nizamani, Nimra Memon, Muhammad Huziafa Memon bronze medals.

Former supreme court judge Justice Faisal Arab, who was the chief guest, Chancellor Prof Dr Asadullah Kazi and VC Prof Dr Nazeer Ashraf Laghari addressed the ceremony while a video message of Sindh Governer Imran Ismail was also played.
