KE expresses grief over electrocution deaths

It clarified that they mostly were a consequence of faulty internal building wirings

K-Electric (KE) expressed grief on Tuesday over electrocution deaths during recent rains.

In a statement issued on the day, the power utility stated that it has been regularly raising precautionary in relevance to rains. It clarified that they mostly were a consequence of faulty internal building wirings, leakage of current in water pumps and motors, unsafe wiring of generators and illegal connections,among other problems. It also rejected allegations of electrocution deaths occurring due to faults in KE's infrastructure.
