FAISALABAD: District Health Officer Dr Nawaish Ali Gorrya has suspended three doctors over negligence and misbehaving with patients infected with chickenpox. Besides, two doctors were also issued show cause notices in this regard.

Those who have been placed under suspension included Medical Officers of Samundari Teshil Headquarter Hospital Dr Ghulam Murtaza, Dr Ahmad Ali and Medical Officer of Teshil Headquarter Hospital, Jaranwala Dr Sharjeel Tariq.

The three medical officers were found guilty of maltreating chickenpox patients as well as the negligence towards their official assignments.

Similarly, Medical Officers of Rural Health Centre, Khurrianwla Dr Sadaqat Ali and Dr Khawar Ahmad were issued show cause notices on account of their failure to discharge their duties and providing timely assistance to chickenpox patients.
