Murder accused among two injured outside court
.

A gun attack early in the morning on the sessions court premises left two men injured.
Lahore High Court Chief Justice Aalia Neelum sought reports from the inspector general of Punjab Police and the Lahore sessions judge with an observation that the security at courts across Punjab be made foolproof.
According to police, the attack occurred outside the courtroom of Additional Sessions Judge Saifullah Hanjra, where an alleged shooter, Nadeem, opened fire at Saad and Faizan who had appeared for a hearing as accused.
Saad suffered three bullet injuries, while another man, Usman, suffered a gunshot wound to the ankle. Faizan remained unhurt. The suspect was arrested on the spot along with the weapon.
He told the police during initial interrogation that he had intended to kill Faizan and had opened fire when the accused was not produced in court on time.
Officials said Saad and Faizan were nominated in a murder case registered at Raiwind police station, and the attacker had allegedly acted on the instructions of the complainants.
The incident triggered panic and chaos on the court premises, with people scrambling for safety.
Senior police officials rushed to the scene after the incident.
