HYDERABAD:

The Isra University awarded degrees to 345 students at its 11th academic convocation on Saturday.

These students graduated in the medical sciences, management sciences, electronics, computer science, information technology, software engineering and telecommunications subjects.

In his parting message to the students, Isra University Chancellor Prof Dr Asadullah Kazi said, “Work hard to achieve your goals. I want you to become great, as we are optimistic about what lies ahead for you. Get yourself ready to address the challenges of the future”.

Eight scholars were awarded master of philosophy degrees in the management sciences while one was conferred a PhD in Electronic Engineering.

The university awarded four students — Irum Aftab, Quratul Ain Maqsood, Zainad Irfan and Syed Ifra Naqvi — with gold medals. Six others, Anusha Rathi, Dilshad Khatoon, Muhammad Moizullah Khan, Suhail Wahab Khalil, Pasham Memon and Bilal Karim Mughal, received silver medals.

Prof Dr Ghulamqadir Kazi, vice-chancellor of the Isra University, said that the number of students graduating from the university is constantly rising as new disciplines are also being added.
