Shah was angry with the party leadership for not giving him an important position in the federal government after the general elections.
Earlier in August, he lashed out at the PML-N leadership for what he termed as an attempt to sideline him from the party’s politics.
The former chief minister was made a senior vice president at the national level of the PML-N but viewed that position as ceremonial.

@Ammar:
Ghaus ali shah should be made governor of sindh, his all weather loyalty must be rewarded by PMLN government.
@Ammar:
What choice does he have now? I am sure that your expectation is that he would join the sheep herd clan consisting of trolls and deciples of Hazrat Imran Khan. Trust me, if he did not Tehreek-e-Dhandli then, he surely wouldn't do now when IK and his two bit tanga party stands thoroughly exposed at all fronts.
What kind of a cuckoo land is Honorable Ghous Ali Shah living in?!!! Sir, you haven't done anything worth didly squat as far as electoral politics is concerned since 1997. Politics is one helluva of a cruel and brutal occupation and your utility will only be measured by your political laurels. Sadly, you do not have what it takes to be a winning horse any longer. Instead of lashing out at the party, you could have quietly sidelined and relished your glory days.
agreed with ur coments.. @Kiran Shah:
He was an accomplished lawyer. High Court Judge. A strong Chief Minister, federal minister. Went to jail and was left there to rot by the Sharif's when they went to Jeddah. Had to live in exile. Such a well experienced and respected man who did everything for his party. He deserved the Presidency. So much more competent than the current President-elect. What choice did he have now?
What has Ghous Ali Shah done for the PML-N in Sindh? Despite a perfect opportunity to win a bunch of seats from interior sindh after the PPP's massive corruption and incompetence from 2008-2013, Ghous Ali Shah could not even deliver a handful of seats in interior Sindh. Instead of accepting has-been turncoats into PML-N like Zafar Ali Shah, Ahmed Ali Shah of Naushero Feroze, he could have re-organized the party and added younger, and more worthy people to the PML-N, who could have helped win at least 8-10 NA and close to 25-30 PS seats from Sindh for PML-N. All of this could have helped keep the PPP and MQM out of the Sindh power game. Its good he has has resigned. I hope Mian Saab makes Marvi Memon the new head of PML-N in Sindh. She is the only one who can bring young and capable Sindhis into the party.
PML-N leadership should intervene and persuade Ghous Ali Shah to take his resignation back. He should be given due respect for his services to country and party. He should be offered some position in the federal government.
what pathetic comments
How about joining PTI?
Come on, join PTI.

As typical PML-N treatment for all its Sindhi workers and leaders.
