Joe Biden was recently photographed at the White House with a noticeable bruise on the top of his hand, sparking speculation about a possible health issue.

The 82-year-old outgoing president hosted an event in the State Dining Room on Thursday to celebrate the record number of federal judges confirmed during his term.

However, observers quickly noted a dark purple, coin-sized mark on his left hand, which appeared to be partially concealed with makeup.

The mark led to online speculation, including theories suggesting it may be from intravenous medication. “Veins in the back of the hand are the easiest to find,” one user theorized.

During the event, Biden acknowledged the confirmation of 235 federal judges, stating, “I know they'll continue to uphold our nation's founding principles of liberty, justice, equality — and do it for decades to come.” He further added, “These judges will be independent, they'll be fair, and they'll be impartial and respect the rule of law. And most importantly — I never thought I'd be saying this — they'll uphold the Constitution.”

The president’s health has become a recurring topic, particularly following a December 19 *Wall Street Journal* report detailing how aides managed a “diminished” Biden throughout his term, including repeating simple instructions, such as where to exit a stage.

Concern about the bruise arose just hours after another appearance drew attention when Biden was seen with a mark on his lip.

On Wednesday evening, Biden addressed the nation from Camp David regarding the ISIS-inspired attack that claimed at least 14 lives on New Orleans' Bourbon Street.

Viewers noted a subtle change to his face, prompting further discussions on social media about his overall health.
