Singer D4vd allegedly had a “significant amount” of child sexual abuse material stored on an iCloud account, prosecutors said during a court hearing on Thursday, according to NBC News.

The development came as the musician, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, appeared in court for a preliminary hearing days after being charged with the murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. He has also been charged with continuous sexual abuse and mutilation of human remains and has pleaded not guilty.

Prosecutors told the court that Burke’s iCloud account contains around eight terabytes of data, with only a portion reviewed so far due to the scale of evidence. Deputy District Attorney Beth Silverman said that a “significant amount” of child sexual abuse imagery has already been identified within the material being examined.

Authorities also stated that the investigation involves a vast digital evidence trail, including tens of terabytes of data from multiple devices. Much of the material is still being processed, with prosecutors noting that sensitive content cannot be directly shared but can be reviewed by the defence under controlled conditions.

Burke’s legal team has said they will “vigorously defend his innocence” and argue that evidence will show he was not involved in the teenager’s death. Defence attorneys also claimed they have received limited discovery so far.

Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found dead in September 2025 in the trunk of Burke’s impounded Tesla, though investigators believe she died months earlier. A medical examiner ruled her death a homicide, citing penetrating wounds consistent with sharp force injuries.

The case remains ongoing, with prosecutors also pursuing special circumstance enhancements that could elevate the severity of charges. A judge has restricted courtroom cameras due to the sensitive nature of evidence presented.
