Young Thug has made his return to music, dropping two new snippets on Thursday, which have fans buzzing.
Among the snippets, one includes a clear diss that appears to target his former collaborator, Gunna. In the clip, Young Thug raps, “Never associate with a rat/Go and get some money and get a pack/Hit her in the car at the Saks [Fifth Avenue].”
Though Young Thug, 33, does not name anyone directly, the line quickly led fans to speculate that the jab is aimed at Gunna. This follows a series of cryptic posts from Young Thug months earlier, in which he mentioned "rats" in the industry, fueling online rumors about a potential beef between the two.

The speculation comes amid the ongoing fallout between the two rappers, which began after 31-year-old Gunna's alleged cooperation with authorities in the YSL case. This situation led to accusations that Gunna was a "snitch." The new diss marks the first time Young Thug has addressed the issue since his release from jail in late October 2024.
Interestingly, despite the tension, Gunna was one of the few artists Young Thug reportedly requested to collaborate with after his release. Thug’s lawyer even referred to Gunna as a “phenomenal artist,” noting their contractual obligation to work together. This has raised questions about whether the “rat” reference is truly aimed at Gunna, or if it could be directed elsewhere.
Since his release, Young Thug has been teasing new music, and fans are eagerly anticipating the full release of his upcoming projects. The rapper, whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, has yet to drop new music, but these snippets suggest he’s gearing up for a significant return.
