Arrests Roundup: Target killers arrested

KARACHI:

Three men reportedly involved in various cases of target killings and extortion were arrested on Saturday.

The Pirabad police claimed that three alleged extortionists were arrested from Qasba Colony. According to officials, the alleged suspects, Kashif, Amjad Hussain and Mohammad Alam, were arrested along with two repeaters, a TT pistol and extortion slips. They said accused involved in several cases of extortion.

Separately, the Crime Branch police arrested a reportedly notorious Lyari gangster from the Lea Market area. According to SSP Farooq Awan, police conducted raid on a tip off.

Meanwhile, an alleged target killer, namely Shujah Hashmi, was nabbed during a joint raid conducted by the East Investigation Range and Gulistan-e-Jauhar police from Gulistan-e-Jauhar Morr. According to the police, the accused was involved in more than 80 cases of target killings.
