Who is Derek Thomas? Rumer Willis seeks emergency custody order

Rumer Willis seeks to keep ex Derek Thomas’ visits with their daughter supervised amid an ongoing custody dispute

Rumer Willis has asked a judge to continue supervised visits between her ex-partner Derek Thomas and their 3-year-old daughter, Louetta, amid an ongoing custody dispute.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Willis filed an emergency request seeking to prevent Thomas’ supervised visitation from ending while the court considers the custody case. She alleges that Thomas has repeatedly violated visitation orders and made decisions she considers unsafe for their daughter.

Willis claims supervised visits began on June 20 and that Thomas completed only five and a half visits because of disputes involving the nannies assigned to supervise his time with Louetta.

The filing states that the court initially approved a specific nanny, but the arrangement changed after the nanny became unavailable because of health issues. Willis alleges that Thomas subsequently refused replacement supervisors on several occasions and, on one occasion, would not allow a court-ordered supervisor into his home.

Willis also alleges that Thomas left the supervising nanny with Louetta during a Fourth of July parade and later refused to allow the nanny into the Airbnb where he was staying with their daughter.

In another incident cited in the filing, Willis claims Thomas attempted to arrange an unsupervised visit because the replacement nanny was not specifically named in the court order. She says she offered for the visit to take place at her home instead, but Thomas allegedly forfeited the visit.

Willis further raises concerns about alleged decisions involving Louetta's safety, including claims about travelling in extreme heat and crossing a highway.

She is asking the court to continue supervised visitation, prevent overnight visits and maintain the arrangement while a court-ordered 730 evaluation is completed.

Thomas has previously denied allegations concerning his parenting and accused Willis of interfering with his visitation.
