Korangi-Qayyumabad traffic diversion announced
.

The District Korangi traffic police have announced a temporary closure of traffic between Qayyumabad and Korangi Crossing and issued an alternative traffic plan to facilitate commuters.
According to the traffic police spokesperson, traffic travelling from Korangi towards Qayyumabad will remain temporarily closed from 8am to 7pm on Sunday (today).
The closure has been necessitated by ongoing construction work on the main Korangi Causeway in connection with the development of a junction near Shahrah-e-Bhutto, Korangi Causeway and Qayyumabad. The traffic police said the temporary closure was necessary to ensure the safety of commuters and facilitate the construction work.
Under the alternative traffic plan, traffic approaching from Qayyumabad via Korangi Road will be diverted towards Korangi and Landhi through Taj Haider Bridge.
Meanwhile, traffic coming from Landhi and Korangi will be diverted towards Hino Chowrangi via CNG Kit Godown Chowrangi.
Traffic police personnel will be deployed at key points to regulate traffic and minimise congestion during the closure.
The traffic police have urged citizens to use the designated alternative routes, remain patient and cooperate with traffic officials. Commuters can call the Traffic Police Helpline 1915 for the latest traffic updates and guidance.
Citizens have also been advised to tune in to FM 88.6 for the latest traffic situation so they can plan their journeys and avoid unnecessary inconvenience.
