The moment involving Pascal aired during the Tuesday, May 12 episode of the CBS late-night series. After sitting down for his interview, the actor pointed towards Colbert and appeared to signal for a kiss before the pair briefly locked lips on camera.
“I got jealous,” Pascal told the host after the kiss.
Colbert responded: “No need, any time. These lips will soon be free.”

The exchange came shortly after Julia Louis-Dreyfus also kissed Colbert during the same episode.
The actress referenced a clip from a previous broadcast in which Colbert listed celebrities he had kissed on the programme, including Sally Field, Helen Mirren, Allison Janney, Andrew Garfield and Jeff Daniels.
After watching the clip, Louis-Dreyfus joked with Colbert before the pair kissed as the audience cheered. Following the moment, she laughed and suggested they “start over”.
The recent on-air kisses began during the May 11 episode when Jimmy Fallon joined Colbert alongside fellow late-night hosts Jimmy Kimmel, John Oliver and Seth Meyers.
The discussion turned to guests hosts had kissed on television before Fallon and Colbert kissed during the broadcast.
Colbert has hosted The Late Show since September 2015, taking over from David Letterman following his retirement.
