Daily-wage workers protest, blocked from marching to CM House
Water Management staff demand regularisation, warn of protest expansion if talks not held

Daily-wage employees of the Lower Staff Water Management Agriculture Department staged a protest outside the local press club on Wednesday, demanding regularisation of their services.
The protest was led by Mumtaz Pehnoor. Later, the protesters attempted to march towards the Chief Minister's House; however, police blocked their advance in the Red Zone by placing barricades and sealing off the road.
A heavy contingent of police was deployed to maintain security in the area. The protesters continued their demonstration near the barricades and recorded their protest.
Police officials held negotiations with the protesters and assured them that their demands would be conveyed to senior government authorities.
The protesters demanded regularisation of lower staff employees and called for direct talks with government representatives. They warned that if their demands were not addressed, they would march towards the Chief Minister's House or the Sindh Secretariat.
