Wall of Sufism unveiled at Sindh Bar Council

A "Wall of Peace and Sufism" was inaugurated at the Sindh Bar Council on Sunday, marking the launch of what officials described as a new tradition aimed at promoting peace, tolerance and the teachings of Sufi saints.

Speaking at the ceremony, Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar said that Sindh's soil is deeply rooted in the teachings of Sufi saints, where love, brotherhood and harmony have long been central values.

He said Sufism promotes tolerance, unity and humanity, which he described as the foundation of sustainable peace in society.

"These values are not only spiritual ideals but also practical necessities for social cohesion," he noted.

The minister added that the "Wall of Peace and Sufism" is not merely a symbolic installation but a meaningful effort to spread a message of positivity and harmony. He said the initiative would begin a lasting tradition within the Sindh Bar Council and serve as guidance for future generations.

The ceremony was attended by senior members of the legal fraternity, including Qurban Malano, Ayaz Tanio, Vice Chairman of the Sindh Bar Council Sindh Bar Council Ishtiaq Memon, Asif Soomro, and others, who appreciated the initiative and its message of peace and unity.
