KARACHI:

MQM-P Chairman Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has described the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran, along with the anticipated negotiations in Islamabad, as Pakistan's gift to global peace. He lauded the Government of Pakistan and the country's power corridors for achieving this historic success.

Dr Siddiqui said that Pakistan has once again demonstrated its strategic importance and diplomatic skill by bringing two global powers to the negotiating table, proving that the country is not merely a spectator in the region but its foremost guarantor of peace. He emphasised that Islamabad becoming a centre for peace reflects Pakistan's responsible role in resolving serious global crises.

He noted that, without this ceasefire, the global economy and Middle Eastern stability could have been severely affected. Dr Siddiqui highlighted that Pakistan's political and military leadership, acting in unison, illuminated the path of global peace when the world stood on the brink of conflict. Islamabad's selection as the venue underscores international trust in Pakistan's neutrality and integrity.

He praised Field Marshal General Asim Munir for his visionary leadership, stating that his defense and diplomatic strategy sent a clear message to the world: Pakistan is the region's chief advocate for peace. He also commended the Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, and military leadership for their efforts, calling this achievement the beginning of a new and bright chapter in Pakistan's foreign policy.
