Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova on support Connor Storrie provided during emotional 'Heated Rivalry' scene
'He was just so kind and he did exactly what needed to be done,' Kharlamova recalled

Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova is reflecting on one of her most vulnerable moments while filming Heated Rivalry — and the scene partner who helped her through it.
Speaking on the red carpet at the Actor Awards, Kharlamova shared that the very first scene she filmed for the series was also one of its most emotionally charged: the post-funeral dinner in episode five, where Connor Storrie’s character clashes with his brother before sharing a heartfelt exchange with her character.
“Connor is such a nice person and he's so great to work with,” she said. “I think the first scene we ever filmed was the scene in episode five where we are at his father's funeral, like the post-funeral dinner. He gets into his whole argument with his brother and then we have a heartfelt conversation.”
The actress admitted the moment felt particularly daunting because it was her introduction to the show’s tone and dynamic. “That scene was, I think, nerve-wracking for everyone because it was our first scene that we filmed in the show, at least for me and most of the other actors,” she explained.
But Kharlamova said Storrie’s presence made all the difference. “He was just so kind and he did exactly what needed to be done,” she recalled. “I think we supported each other there on that day. It was such a sweet, tender scene. I love it so much.”
The emotional sequence, set against the backdrop of grief and family tension, has since become a standout moment in the series, marking a turning point for the characters’ relationship. And for Kharlamova, it also marked the beginning of a collaborative partnership built on trust.
Her comments offer a glimpse behind the scenes of Heated Rivalry, highlighting how off-screen generosity can elevate on-screen intensity, especially when the stakes are as high as they were in that unforgettable episode five scene.
