Blake Lively 'devastated' and 'angry' after court setback in Justin Baldoni lawsuit
One insider told celebrity expert Rob Shuter that Blake Lively didn't expect this outcome

Actress Blake Lively is said to be emotionally shaken after a federal judge dismissed the majority of her legal claims against co‑star and director Justin Baldoni in their high‑profile dispute tied to the 2024 film It Ends With Us.
According to sources, Lively was left “devastated” by the ruling, with one insider telling celebrity expert Rob Shuter that “this is not the outcome she expected.” The judge threw out 10 of her 13 claims, including sexual harassment, defamation and conspiracy allegations, narrowing the case to only breach of contract and retaliation‑related claims that will proceed to trial in New York this May.
Another source added that the decision also made Lively “angry,” explaining that she “feels like her story isn’t being fully heard,” suggesting that she is frustrated by the court’s interpretation of the legal grounds rather than the underlying allegations.
Lively originally filed the lawsuit in late 2024, accusing Baldoni of inappropriate conduct on set and alleging that his production company and public relations team later engaged in a coordinated smear campaign that damaged her reputation and career. Baldoni has denied all misconduct.
Despite the partial setback, insiders say Lively has no intention of backing down. “Blake is not quitting,” one source asserted, noting that she is “digging in” as both sides prepare for trial next month.
The narrowed lawsuit now focuses on allegations including breach of contract and retaliation, and both sides are expected to present their cases when court proceedings resume in May.
