Emma Stone made a rare public appearance with her husband Dave McCary at the 2026 SAG Actor Awards in Los Angeles on March 1.

The actress, 37, is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her performance in Bugonia, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos.

The ceremony, formerly known as the SAG Awards, was held at the Shrine Auditorium and introduced a dress code for the first time with the theme “Reimagining Hollywood Glamour From the ’20s and ’30s”.

Stone and McCary, who have been married for five years, posed together on the red carpet. The couple, known for keeping their personal life private, were photographed embracing outside the venue.

Stone wore a lavender slip dress by Louis Vuitton paired with a matching jewel-toned sweater. She completed the look with her hair styled in an updo. McCary, 40, wore a black tuxedo and bow tie in keeping with the evening’s theme.

Stone faces competition in her category from fellow nominees Rose Byrne, Kate Hudson, Chase Infiniti and Jessie Buckley. The awards recognise performances in film and television as voted on by members of SAG-AFTRA.

The appearance marks one of the couple’s few joint outings in recent months. Their last public event together was in August at the Venice Film Festival, where they attended the premiere of Bugonia on August 28. At that screening, Stone wore a floor-length silver gown, while McCary opted for a black tuxedo.

McCary, a former Saturday Night Live writer and director, has largely remained out of the spotlight while supporting Stone’s career. The pair first met when Stone hosted Saturday Night Live and have since collaborated professionally as well as personally.

The 2026 SAG Actor Awards ceremony was broadcast live, celebrating achievements across film and television.
