Leah Kateb said she is “truly shattered” by lives lost after US–Israel strike on Iran, sharing support for families

Love Island USA star Leah Kateb has spoken out following the US and Israel military strike against Iran on February 28, saying she is “truly shattered” by the reported loss of life.
The reality television personality shared her reaction in a series of Instagram stories on Saturday, expressing sorrow for families affected by the escalation.
The strike, described as targeting Iran’s government, has intensified tensions internationally and prompted responses from public figures.
Kateb wrote that she is “truly shattered by the lives lost and the pain many families are carrying right now. The souls we’ve lost were kind, hardworking, intelligent, and BRAVE!!! I pray the loss of them is not in vain. I pray I can see the place my family used to call home, where they had to flee from.”
She added that her heart is “especially with my family and loved ones in Iran and everyone else who may be feeling fear or uncertainty during this time, hoping deeply for safety, protection, and peace for ALL involved.”
In a further statement, Kateb broadened her message to address the wider impact of conflict. “Praying for peace. When war and fear take over, it’s the innocent who suffer most. Children, families, everyday people who did not choose this,” she wrote. “No matter the country or the side, every life is precious. May compassion rise above conflict. May healing reach every place and person hurting. May God be watching over.”
Kateb focused her message on the human cost of conflict and expressed hope for peace and protection for those affected.
