Lily Collins is set to portray Audrey Hepburn in a new feature film centered on the making of the 1961 classic Breakfast at Tiffany's.

The project is being developed by Imagine Entertainment and Case Study Films, alongside producer Scott LaStaiti.

The screenplay will be adapted by Alena Smith, creator of the Apple TV+ series Dickinson, based on Sam Wasson’s bestselling book Fifth Avenue, 5 A.M.: Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the Dawn of the Modern Woman. The book offers a detailed account of the making of the film and its cultural impact during late-1950s America.

Directed by Blake Edwards and based on the novella by Truman Capote, Breakfast at Tiffany’s became a defining romantic comedy and solidified Hepburn’s status as a global fashion and film icon. The film earned five Academy Award nominations and won two Oscars, later entering the U.S. National Film Registry. Hepburn had previously won an Academy Award for her performance in Roman Holiday and starred in classics including Sabrina and Funny Face.

Producers on the new biographical drama include Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody and Justin Wilkes for Imagine Entertainment, with Collins also producing through Case Study Films.

Collins currently stars in Emily in Paris on Netflix, which recently returned for its fifth season.
