KATSEYE Manon Bannerman announces hiatus to focus on health and wellbeing
KATSEYE confirm Manon Bannerman to take temporary hiatus to focus on health and wellbeing

KATSEYE member Manon Bannerman has announced a temporary hiatus from the group to focus on her “health and wellbeing”.
The girl group shared the update in a statement posted on X on February 20, confirming that Manon would step back from activities for the time being.
“We fully support this decision,” the group wrote, adding that they remain “committed to showing up for one another and for the fans who mean everything to us.”
The remaining members, Yoonchae, Lara Raj, Daniela Avanzini, Sophia Laforteza and Megan Skiendiel, said they would “continue scheduled activities during this time” and are looking “forward to being together again when the time is right.”
“Thank you to our EYEKONS,” they added, “for your continued love, patience, and understanding.”
Manon, 23, joined KATSEYE when the group was formed on Netflix’s Popstar Academy in 2024. She has previously spoken about the support system within the band.
At the 2026 Grammys, she told E! News: “The biggest thing is we’re constantly supporting each other. That’s the one thing. Just constantly making sure that we’re all coming up on this crazy journey together and that we’re not leaving anybody behind. And we’re really taking it seriously.”
She added, “We’re always communicating with each other, checking in. That’s so important to us.”
Earlier this month, reflecting on performing at and being nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammys, Manon wrote on Instagram: “Of all the places my younger self dreamed herself into… this one still doesn’t feel real.”
“This moment isn’t just mine! It’s ours,” she continued. “If you’re quietly working, doubting yourself, but still showing up… please keep going. You’re closer than you think.”
