Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 soundtrack enters Billboard 200 at No. 29

The Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 soundtrack has debuted at No. 29 on the Billboard 200 albums chart dated February 21, marking a rare top 50 entry for a video game soundtrack.
Since the Billboard 200 began publishing weekly in March 1956, only three game soundtracks have reached the top 50: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, BTS World, which peaked at No. 26 in 2019, and Halo 4, which reached No. 50 in 2012.
Released in April 2025, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 went on to win game of the year at The Game Awards in December, taking home nine awards in total.
The soundtrack was composed by Lorien Testard and features vocals from Alice Duport-Percier. It was issued through Sandfall Interactive and Laced Records.
The complete 154-track edition of the soundtrack first became available via streaming services and digital download in April 2025.
On February 6 2026, the complete edition was released on CD with bonus tracks, while a vinyl version featuring a selection of tracks was also issued.
For chart purposes, the streaming, download and CD editions are combined, while the vinyl edition is tracked separately. The No. 29 debut on the Billboard 200 reflects the vinyl edition alone, which sold 24,000 copies.
According to Billboard, this marks the largest sales week for a game soundtrack on vinyl in the modern era, since Luminate began electronically tracking sales in 1991.
The vinyl edition also debuts at No. 1 on Classical Albums and Classical Crossover Albums, No. 2 on Soundtracks, No. 4 on Vinyl Albums and Top Current Album Sales, No. 5 on Top Album Sales and No. 6 on Independent Albums.
The complete edition enters Top Album Sales and Top Current Album Sales at No. 18 and Independent Albums at No. 44, while climbing to No. 7 on the Soundtracks chart.
