Tommy Lee Jones’ daughter Victoria Jones cause of death revealed after San Francisco death
Tommy Lee Jones’ daughter Victoria Jones’ cause of death has been revealed following her passing in January

The cause of death for Victoria Jones, daughter of Tommy Lee Jones, has been officially confirmed more than a month after she was found dead in San Francisco. She was 34.
On Tuesday, Feb. 17, the San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner announced that Victoria Jones died from the toxic effects of cocaine. The manner of death was ruled an accident.
Victoria was discovered unresponsive at a hotel in San Francisco on Jan. 1. According to statements previously confirmed to PEOPLE by the San Francisco Police Department and the San Francisco Fire Department, authorities responded to a medical emergency call at the Fairmont hotel at approximately 2:52 a.m. Upon arrival, first responders located a deceased individual, who was not publicly identified at that time.
Later reporting by NBC Bay Area, citing a police source, identified the woman as Victoria Jones. Dispatch audio obtained by PEOPLE classified the call as a “code 3 for the overdose, color change.” In overdose cases, “color change” refers to cyanosis — a condition involving low oxygen levels in the blood that can cause bluish or purplish discoloration of the skin, lips and nails.
On Jan. 2, Victoria’s family released a statement addressing the loss, saying they appreciated the condolences and asking for privacy during a difficult time.
Victoria was the daughter of Jones and his former wife, Kimberlea Cloughley. The former couple also share a son, Austin Jones, 43.
She appeared in several film and television projects over the years. Victoria made her film debut in the 2002 movie Men in Black II and was credited as Immigrant Girl in The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada. Her acting credits also included roles in The Homesman, Sorry, Haters, and an appearance in a 2005 episode of One Tree Hill.
According to court records reviewed by PEOPLE, Victoria had been arrested at least twice within the past year, including for drug possession.
The investigation into her death has concluded with the medical examiner’s findings.
