Tubi has announced it will add 100 Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. programmes to its streaming library from March 1, marking a significant expansion of its animation catalogue.

Describing the move as the start of its “cartoon era”, the free streaming service confirmed that a first wave of titles will arrive at the beginning of March, with additional series added over time. The collection includes established Cartoon Network titles such as Dexter’s Laboratory, Ed, Edd ‘n Eddy, Courage The Cowardly Dog, The Powerpuff Girls, Teen Titans and Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends.

Other additions span a broad range of Warner Bros. animation properties, including Pinky and the Brain, Justice League, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Ben 10 (2005) and The Animaniacs. Non–Cartoon Network titles such as The Addams Family (1974) and Animaniacs are also part of the rollout.

The move comes as several classic animated series have become harder to access on major streaming platforms. Last year, a number of Cartoon Network titles were removed from HBO Max after licensing agreements expired and were not renewed.

Tubi has previously benefited from similar acquisitions. After HBO Max removed Looney Tunes from its platform, Tubi secured the rights to the library. Samuel Harowitz, the service’s head of acquisitions, described the deal as a “huge win for us.” By October, Looney Tunes had become one of the platform’s 10 best-performing series.

The upcoming additions also include long-running franchises such as Scooby-Doo, Tom & Jerry, Yogi Bear and The Flintstones, alongside cult favourites including Codename: Kids Next Door, Xiaolin Showdown and The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy.

With demand for nostalgic programming continuing to grow, Tubi’s expanded Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. catalogue is likely to attract both returning viewers and new audiences seeking classic animated series.
