The search for Savannah Guthrie’s mother Nancy Guthrie could stretch on for “weeks or months or years,” according to Arizona authorities, as investigators continue to pursue leads in the high-profile kidnapping case.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said officials remain determined to find the 84-year-old, who was last seen at her Tucson home on the night of Jan. 31, despite a series of dead ends in the investigation. “Maybe it’s an hour from now. Maybe it’s weeks or months or years from now. But we won’t quit. We’re going to find Nancy. We’re going to find this guy,” Nanos said.

Authorities believe Nancy was taken against her will, with investigators treating the scene at her home as a crime scene after discovering blood evidence and signs of forced entry. The case has since evolved into a large-scale criminal investigation involving local law enforcement and federal agencies, with dozens of officers working to track down the suspect.

Surveillance footage released by officials shows a masked, armed individual tampering with Nancy’s doorbell camera the night she disappeared, while forensic teams continue to analyze DNA evidence and items recovered near her home. Despite numerous leads and tips from the public, police have not identified a suspect or person of interest.

The FBI has offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to Nancy’s recovery or the arrest of those responsible, as her family continues to make emotional public appeals for her safe return.

Investigators have emphasized that Nancy, who requires daily medication, may be in urgent need of medical care. Officials say they remain hopeful she is still alive and have vowed to continue the search no matter how long it takes.
