Elisabeth Moss to lead ‘Conviction’ in new series based on Jack Jordan novel
Moss will play a lawyer forced to win a murder case while being blackmailed, in a high-stakes adaptation

Elisabeth Moss is set to return to Hulu with a brand-new legal drama, as the streamer has ordered a series adaptation of Jack Jordan’s novel Conviction, with David Shore attached to write and executive produce.
The project, titled Conviction, will see Moss star as Neve Harper, a lawyer who takes on a high-stakes murder case while being secretly blackmailed by someone threatening to expose her deepest secrets unless she secures an acquittal. The premise blends courtroom drama with psychological suspense, positioning the series as a tense, character-driven thriller.
The series is based on the 2023 novel by Jack Jordan and continues Moss’ long-standing creative partnership with Hulu following the success of The Handmaid’s Tale. Moss will also executive produce the new show alongside longtime collaborator Warren Littlefield, with 20th Television producing.
In addition to Conviction, Moss continues to expand her television slate, with upcoming and recent projects including Imperfect Women, The Veil and Shining Girls, reinforcing her position as one of television’s most in-demand leading performers.
Production on Conviction is expected to begin in New York in mid-2026, with the series marking another major literary adaptation for Hulu’s growing drama lineup. With Moss leading both in front of and behind the camera and Shore steering the creative vision, the series is shaping up to be a high-profile addition to the streamer’s slate.
