Ryan Gosling is set to return to Saturday Night Live as host for the fourth time, with Gorillaz joining the episode as musical guest.

The highly anticipated broadcast will air on March 7, just weeks before Gosling’s upcoming sci-fi film Project Hail Mary premieres in theaters on March 20.

The appearance marks Gorillaz’s debut on the iconic NBC sketch show. The performance will follow the release of the band’s new album on February 27, adding extra excitement for music fans tuning in. NBC has also confirmed that SNL will air a brand-new episode on March 14 — the night before the Oscars — though the host for that installment has yet to be announced.

Gosling’s return continues a star-packed lineup for the long-running late-night series. Actor Connor Storrie is scheduled to make his hosting debut on February 28 alongside musical guest Mumford & Sons, who will appear on the show for the fourth time after releasing their album Prizefighter on February 20.

Season highlights have already included several notable first-time hosts. Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard led the show in January with A$AP Rocky as musical guest, while Teyana Taylor and Alexander Skarsgård also made their hosting debuts in subsequent episodes, joined by Geese and Cardi B respectively.

Broadcast live from New York, Saturday Night Live airs on NBC and streams simultaneously on Peacock, where viewers can also access past seasons of the Emmy-winning series. Created by Lorne Michaels and produced in association with Broadway Video, SNL remains a major platform for celebrity appearances, live performances and pop culture moments — with Gosling’s return expected to draw significant attention ahead of his next blockbuster release.
