Netflix has released the first official poster for its upcoming limited horror series Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, building anticipation ahead of the teaser trailer set to debut tomorrow.

Created and written by showrunner Haley Z. Boston, known for her work on Hunters and Brand New Cherry Flavor, the series centers on a seemingly perfect wedding that takes a dark turn. Camila Morrone (Daisy Jones & the Six) and Adam DiMarco (The White Lotus) lead the cast as Rachel Harkin and Nicky Cunningham, an engaged couple who embark on a midwinter road trip to Nicky’s wealthy family’s remote vacation home for their private ceremony.

Each episode unfolds over a single day in the week leading up to the wedding, gradually intensifying the tension as Rachel becomes increasingly unsettled by a string of strange and unsettling events. Her growing paranoia and superstition hint that the celebration may be overshadowed by something far more sinister.

The ensemble cast includes Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jeff Wilbusch, Karla Crome, Gus Birney, Ted Levine, Sawyer Fraser and Zlatko Burić, adding significant star power to the project. Directorial duties are shared by Weronika Tofilska, Axelle Carolyn and Lisa Brühlmann, all recognized for their work on acclaimed thriller and horror titles.

Further elevating the series, Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer serve as executive producers through Upside Down Pictures, alongside Hilary Leavitt, Andrea Sperling and Boston. With a strong creative team and an ominous premise, Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen is shaping up to be one of Netflix’s most anticipated horror releases of 2026.
