The Recording Academy has announced 14 new recordings inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame for 2026, including works by 2Pac, Selena, Radiohead and Janet Jackson.

This year’s selections span genres and decades, from Bertha “Chippie” Hill’s 1926 recording “Trouble in Mind” to landmark 1990s albums such as Selena’s Amor Prohibido, 2Pac’s All Eyez on Me, Radiohead’s OK Computer and Lucinda Williams’ Car Wheels on a Gravel Road. Of the 14 additions, nine are albums and five are singles recognised for “qualitative or historical significance”.

Among the commercially successful releases honoured are 2Pac’s All Eyez on Me and Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814, both of which reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200. OK Computer previously won a Grammy for best alternative music performance, while Car Wheels on a Gravel Road won best contemporary folk album.

Three of the artists honoured died before the age of 30: Selena at 23, 2Pac at 25 and Nick Drake at 26. In contrast, children’s music pioneer Ella Jenkins, whose “You’ll Sing a Song and I’ll Sing a Song” was inducted, lived to 100.

The Grammy Hall of Fame, established in 1973, recognises recordings at least 25 years old. With this year’s additions, the total number of inducted titles reaches 1,179. The recordings will be celebrated at the Grammy Hall of Fame Gala on May 8 at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.

Harvey Mason jr., CEO of the Recording Academy, said: “It’s a privilege to recognize these influential recordings as the 2026 Grammy Hall of Fame inductees. Each selection reflects the creativity, craft and cultural impact that recorded music can carry across decades.”
