Demi Lovato has announced the cancellation of five shows on her upcoming It’s Not That Deep Tour, saying the decision is about prioritizing her well‑being as she prepares for the run of performances this spring.

In an Instagram Stories post, the 33‑year‑old singer explained that as she began rehearsals and tour preparations, she realized she had “overextended what may be possible” and needed more time to rest and refine the show in order to deliver her best performance for fans.

“To protect my health, and ensure I can give you my all at each show, I need to build in more time to rest and rehearse,” Lovato wrote, expressing regret to fans who had planned to attend the now‑canceled concerts.

The five affected dates originally scheduled for early April through May included stops in Charlotte, North Carolina; Atlanta; Nashville; Denver; and Las Vegas. Lovato also noted that the April 10 show in Orlando will now become the tour’s official kickoff on April 13, setting the revised schedule in motion.

Lovato’s It’s Not That Deep Tour, supporting her ninth studio album of the same name, is set to run through North America from mid‑April to late May, with Slovak singer Adéla serving as the opening act.

While the cancellations are disappointing for some fans, many have expressed understanding and support, highlighting the importance of artists managing their health amid the rigors of touring.

Lovato’s decision reflects a growing trend among performers who are increasingly vocal about setting boundaries to maintain physical and mental wellness while navigating demanding schedules — a conversation that has gained prominence in today’s entertainment landscape.
