2PM and 'Vincenzo' star Ok Taecyeon announces marriage with long-time partner next spring

The announcement comes after reports of his proposal in Paris first sparked marriage speculation

Singer and actor Ok Taecyeon has officially announced his marriage through a handwritten letter, becoming the second member of 2PM to tie the knot.

The announcement comes nine months after reports of his proposal in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris first sparked marriage speculation.

His agency, Fifty One K, confirmed the news on November 1, stating, “Actor Ok Taecyeon has promised to spend the rest of his life with the person he has been in a long-term relationship with.” The agency added that the ceremony will take place in Seoul next spring, attended only by close family and friends. “As the spouse is a non-celebrity, we kindly request your understanding that further details will remain private,” the statement read.

Taecyeon also shared his thoughts directly with fans in a handwritten message on social media. “I have promised to spend the rest of my life with the person who has understood and believed in me for a long time. We plan to support each other and walk through life together,” he wrote. He went on to thank fans for their continued support, adding that he would “do his best to repay the love and trust you have shown me as a member of 2PM, as an actor, and as your Taecyeon.”

The 2PM star publicly confirmed his relationship in 2020, and photos from last year showing him presenting a ring to his girlfriend in Paris reignited rumours of an impending marriage. With this announcement, the speculation has now been confirmed.

Debuting with 2PM in 2008, Ok Taecyeon follows fellow member Jun. K, who married in 2022, becoming the group’s second member to wed. Fans and industry peers have since sent heartfelt congratulations to the couple.
