Caitlyn Jenner regrets 'Woman of the Year Award', calls herself a 'hypocrite'
"I’m still XY. Biologically, I’m female. But genetically, I’m still XY," Jenner said

Caitlyn Jenner has described herself as a “hypocrite” for accepting Glamour’s Woman of the Year award in 2015, reflecting on the decision during a recent interview in which she discussed her evolving views on transgender issues and women’s sports.
Speaking about her position on trans women in sports, Jenner said, “Here I am fighting the battle to keep biological men out of women’s sports because it’s not right.” She added that this stance led her to reconsider her past recognition, saying, “I started thinking what a hypocrite I am.”
Jenner specifically pointed to the award she received shortly after coming out as transgender, saying, “What did I accept? Glamour’s Woman of the Year award.”
Reflecting further on her identity and the controversy, she also said, “I’m still XY. Biologically, I’m female. But genetically, I’m still XY. There’s nothing I can do about that.”
Jenner’s comments revisit her 2015 public recognition, when she was named one of Glamour magazine’s Women of the Year following her transition. At the time, she was widely celebrated as a prominent transgender figure and activist.
In the recent interview, Jenner also suggested that her public transition and advocacy may have had unintended consequences in the broader cultural debate around transgender rights in the United States.
She later clarified that while she continues to support certain LGBTQ+ rights, she believes the conversation around gender and sports has shifted significantly since she first came out in 2015.
The remarks have reignited discussion around Jenner’s evolving political and social views, particularly as she continues to speak publicly on transgender participation in sports.
