Alan Cumming joins Toy Story 5 as Bullseye in surprise Pixar cameo
Alan Cumming joins Toy Story 5 as Bullseye voice in surprise Pixar cameo ahead of June 2026 cinema release

Alan Cumming has been confirmed as the voice of Bullseye in Toy Story 5, according to LADbible, joining the expanding cast of the upcoming Pixar sequel set for release in June 2026.
The announcement reveals a surprise addition to the Toy Story universe, which will see returning characters including Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) and Jessie (Joan Cusack), alongside a new storyline focused on a “Toy meets Tech” conflict.
Alongside Alan Cumming’s casting, Conan O’Brien joins the film as Smarty Pants, a potty-training toy, while Greta Lee voices Lilypad, a high-tech antagonist who plays a central role in the story’s conflict. The film follows Bonnie as she grows older and begins to drift away from her toys, forcing them to adapt to a changing world.
According to LADbible, Bullseye has never previously had a speaking voice in the franchise, making this one of the most unusual and closely watched casting choices in the new film. The creative team reportedly spent time developing the character’s voice to match the emotional direction of the story.
Cumming said the role was an “incredible honour,” adding that he felt “so happy, proud and in disbelief” to join the Pixar franchise. He also confirmed that he recorded his part remotely during a Zoom studio session with the filmmakers.
Toy Story 5 is set to hit UK cinemas on 19 June 2026, with Alan Cumming’s cameo already generating strong fan interest ahead of release.
