Swift’s gift to Taylor featured apparel, a vinyl and a note with a heartfelt message among other items

Taylor Swift sent Teyana Taylor a merch box to celebrate the release of her 12th album The Life of a Showgirl.

Taylor shared a photo of the box's content on Instagram, along with the caption, “Thank you Tay Tay!!”

The glittery orange merch box featured a sweatshirt with the words The Life of a Showgirl and a vinyl among other gifts, along with a handwritten note that read, “Well hi! if you’re reading this you’re someone who has shown love, someone I admire and ultimately someone I’d want to celebrate with as we welcome The Life of a Showgirl into the world. I hope you like these gifts and record! With love, a showgirl named Taylor”, followed by Swift's signature.

Last year, Taylor took aim at Swift's fiancé Travis Kelce’s ex Kayla Nicole with a post referencing Swift’s “Shake It Off”.

Taylor also accused Nicole of leveraging “the black card” when discussing Swift, asserting Nicole turned to belittlement after attempting praise years before.

Released on October 3, 2025, The Life of a Showgirl continues to shatter records selling over 4 million equivalent units in its first week in the US, making it the biggest debut week of Swift’s career.

It also became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day in 2025 and achieved more than 6 million pre-saves—another all-time high.
