Ben Platt and Rachel Zegler are bringing their acclaimed stage collaboration to fans worldwide with a newly announced live album of The Last Five Years.

According to Billboard, the duo revealed they will release The Last Five Years (25th Anniversary Live at the London Palladium), capturing their performances from the special anniversary concert run in London.

The live recording comes from their limited engagement at the London Palladium, where the two stars led a concert staging of The Last Five Years to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The production, directed and conducted by creator Jason Robert Brown, has been praised for its emotional intensity and vocal performances.

The musical tells the story of a five-year relationship between novelist Jamie and actress Cathy, uniquely structured with each character experiencing the timeline in opposite directions, one moving forward, the other backward.

Platt and Zegler’s performances quickly generated buzz among theater fans, with their chemistry and powerhouse vocals helping to reintroduce the beloved musical to a new generation. The upcoming album will allow audiences who couldn’t attend the live shows to experience the production’s standout musical moments.

The announcement also extends the life of the anniversary production beyond the stage, as the show continues its run with performances in major venues like the Hollywood Bowl and Radio City Music Hall.

With both stars bringing strong musical theater credentials, Platt from Dear Evan Hansen and Zegler from West Side Story, the live album is expected to become a must-listen for Broadway and West End fans alike.
