Nicole Kidman was reportedly taken to hospital for intravenous treatment after pushing through illness while filming Margo’s Got Money Troubles, according to cast and production accounts shared in a recent interview.

Nick Offerman, who stars alongside Kidman in the Apple TV series, described how the production day began with uncertainty after the actress was said to be unwell with flu-like symptoms. The series, which is based on Rufi Thorpe’s novel of the same name, was filming a large set piece involving extensive cast and extras, making scheduling particularly tight.

Offerman told People that early on the production received word that Kidman, 58, might be unable to work that day due to illness. However, later that morning she arrived on set despite appearing visibly unwell. He described her condition as pale and shaken, noting that she was still determined to complete her scenes rather than halt production.

According to Offerman, Kidman continued filming throughout the day and completed all required shots for the sequence. He characterised her approach as highly professional, stating that she ensured the production did not lose essential material for the episode despite her condition.

Once filming wrapped, she was taken to hospital for IV treatment. The account does not indicate any long-term complications, and there has been no suggestion that production was delayed as a result of the incident.

Showrunner David E Kelley has previously spoken about Kidman’s commitment to the role, noting her willingness to take on physically demanding material for the series, which also features Elle Fanning and Michael Angarano. The story follows a student whose life changes after a pregnancy and financial instability, with Kidman portraying a key supporting role in the narrative.

The incident adds to a history of Kidman speaking openly about physically demanding filming schedules. Over her career, she has taken on roles requiring extensive emotional and physical endurance, including projects such as Big Little Lies and Babygirl, where she has previously noted the impact of intense production conditions.

Margo’s Got Money Troubles continues its release on Apple TV, with episodes rolling out weekly. Production sources have not indicated any further disruptions linked to health concerns during filming.
