Tommy Norman arrested after alleged domestic dispute involving wife; investigation is ongoing.

Tommy Norman, a well-known Arkansas police officer and social media influencer, has been arrested on a domestic violence charge following an incident involving his wife. The North Little Rock Police Department confirmed Norman's arrest on Sunday, stating that he is facing a third-degree domestic battery charge.

Norman, a 27-year veteran of the North Little Rock Police Department, was taken into custody late Saturday night and is currently being held at the Pulaski County Jail without bond. The arrest came after police responded to a domestic disturbance call just before midnight. According to an arrest report reviewed by Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette and TMZ, Norman’s wife told responding officers that the two had gotten into an argument during which Norman allegedly struck her on the chest with the back of his hand.

The arresting officer noted a minor visible injury on her chest, according to the report. However, Norman reportedly told police that he was trying to block his wife from slapping him and that any injury occurred accidentally during that exchange.

Following the arrest, the North Little Rock Police Department placed Norman on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

Norman gained national attention through social media, where he has more than 1.8 million followers. He is widely known for posting videos showcasing his community outreach efforts and positive interactions with residents. His work earned him the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from President Joe Biden in 2021.

Norman and his wife, Rosalynd, have been together since 2013 and were married in July 2019. In previous interviews, both spoke highly of their relationship. Rosalynd had described Norman as respectful and supportive, while Norman credited her with being actively involved in his community work.

Just weeks before the arrest, Norman shared a video on social media discussing changes to his content, stating he would no longer film in uniform to comply with department policy. He also hinted at possible retirement, reassuring followers that he would continue his outreach efforts regardless of his official role.
