Pamela Anderson addressed recent speculation about her rumored relationship with co-star Liam Neeson, firmly denying claims that their public interactions were part of a calculated publicity stunt. Speaking at the Deauville American Film Festival in France on Friday, where she was honored with the Deauville Talent Award, the actress and activist stated that she refuses to engage in orchestrated romantic narratives for media attention.
“I do not and will never feed into PR stunts,” Anderson said during her speech, according to People. “That would be a death sentence. I’m authentically driven. I’m superstitious when it comes to love, and I’m not comfortable sharing any shred of my romantic life.”
Anderson, 58, and Neeson, 73, sparked dating rumors over the summer while promoting their upcoming film The Naked Gun, with multiple affectionate red carpet appearances leading to reports of a budding romance. A source had told People in July that the pair appeared “smitten,” though no official confirmation followed.
However, Anderson addressed the speculation with grace, calling the public’s curiosity “the greatest compliment” and insisting that no “silly games” were being played. “I’m sincere,” she emphasized. “I know I’ll fall in love again and again on screen. That is my job.”
As per Page six, that while there was genuine chemistry between the co-stars, their connection never developed into a romantic relationship. “They will always be friends and have a connection,” the source added. Another insider reiterated that their public appearances were “very sincere” and not part of a “fauxmance.”
Anderson was previously married to Tommy Lee, Kid Rock, Rick Salomon, and Dan Hayhurst. Neeson was married to the late Natasha Richardson until her death in 2009.
