Mattsson’s exit from General Hospital saw her character Sasha leave Port Charles with her baby Daisy to reunite with her parents in Paris, France, following assistance from Steve Burton’s Jason Morgan. Jason reminded Sasha that she would “always have a home to come back to,” leaving the door open for future storylines. At the time, Mattsson described her departure as an opportunity to pursue other projects in film and television, while expressing openness to returning to the soap world.

Beyond her extensive run on General Hospital, which included over 500 episodes, Mattsson has also appeared on shows such as NCIS and Two and a Half Men. Her move to Days of Our Lives reunites her with a veteran cast led by Deidre Hall. Fans of the genre can anticipate seeing Mattsson bring her experience and charm to Salem, as she joins the NBC soap for a fresh and exciting storyline.
