Priscilla Presley is facing renewed legal challenges after an amended complaint was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court by her former business partners, Brigitte Kruse and Kevin Fialko.
The filing, submitted on Sept. 5, alleges that Presley placed “undue financial pressure” on Elvis Presley in the months before his death in August 1977.
According to the complaint, a lien of nearly $494,024 was placed on Graceland in April of that year, which plaintiffs argue added strain on the singer before his fatal heart attack.
The lawsuit also claims Presley exploited the Presley name for financial gain in later years, including a $13 million demand in 2005.
Presley, 80, has strongly denied all accusations. Her attorney, Marty Singer, dismissed the claims as “absurd and despicable,” framing the lawsuit as part of an ongoing campaign by her former associates.
Singer said Presley herself has previously alleged elder abuse and financial misconduct against Kruse, whom she accuses of attempting to take control of her finances.
Attorneys for Kruse and Fialko argue otherwise, maintaining that Presley’s denials lack evidence. They insist the complaint provides documentation to back their claims and vowed to pursue the case further.
Presley first met Elvis in 1959 while he was stationed in Germany. The two married in 1967, divorced in 1973, and shared one daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, who died in 2023 at age 54.
Presley later had a long-term relationship with Marco Garibaldi, with whom she shares her son, Navarone.
