Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour may have ended, but one of her dancers is about to embark on a new challenge. Jan Ravnik, who performed with Swift across stadiums worldwide during her record-shattering tour, has officially been announced as a professional dancer for season 34 of Dancing with the Stars. The reveal came during Good Morning America on Thursday, where Ravnik shared his excitement in a pre-recorded message.

“I travelled all around the world with Eras Tour, and now I’m coming to the ballroom stage for Dancing with the Stars,” he said. “Mirrorball never goes out of style, and we are ready to win it.” His playful nod to Swift’s song Mirrorball quickly caught the attention of fans, especially Swifties who are eager to see how he transitions from tour choreography to ballroom competition.

Ravnik is no stranger to high-profile performances. Beyond his time with Swift, he has danced alongside Paula Abdul at the Billboard Music Awards and her Las Vegas residency, appeared with Mariah Carey on tour and television specials, and performed with Bruno Mars. He was also featured in The Eras Tour concert film and appeared on stage at the 97th Academy Awards.

The official Dancing with the Stars Instagram teased his involvement the day before the announcement, posting an image filled with purple sparkles, a colour long associated with Swift. That subtle hint fuelled speculation among fans, which was confirmed with Thursday’s reveal.

Ravnik joins a lineup that already includes Robert Irwin, son of the late Steve Irwin, social media star Alix Earle, and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt. Earlier this week, it was also confirmed that Hilaria Baldwin will be part of the season’s cast. The full celebrity roster will be unveiled on 3 September.

Dancing with the Stars season 34 premieres Tuesday, 16 September, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+, with episodes available to stream the following day on Hulu. With Ravnik in the ballroom, fans will be watching closely to see if he can carry the energy of Swift’s stadiums to a different kind of stage.
