Seann William Scott, best known for playing the unforgettable Stifler in American Pie, has found his personal finances under the spotlight as details of his divorce and custody battle with ex-wife Olivia Korenberg continue to unfold. Court filings obtained this week revealed that the actor earns about $170,000 per month, a figure that has shocked fans who had assumed he had largely stepped away from Hollywood’s front line.
According to documents, Scott, 48, brings in around $69,000 each month in royalties from his acting work, with a further $48,000 coming from dividends and interest. He reported having $19 million in stocks and bonds, nearly $29 million in real estate, $133,000 worth of cars and more than $144,000 in artwork. The filings also noted jewellery, savings and cash holdings, painting a picture of a celebrity who has managed his career earnings with considerable success.
Yet the financial picture comes against the backdrop of a bitter custody dispute over the couple’s five-year-old daughter, Frankie. Scott reportedly spends close to $93,000 every month on bills, including property taxes and childcare costs. He also disclosed having spent more than $777,000 on legal fees as the divorce battle has stretched on.
The actor filed for divorce from interior designer Korenberg in 2024, citing irreconcilable differences after four years of marriage. While the pair settled their divorce last year, the custody arrangements and disputes over property sales have kept tensions high. Korenberg previously claimed she was blindsided when Scott listed their home for sale, though he insisted it was a financial decision rather than retaliation.
Scott, who made his name in comedies but later took on roles in films like Role Models and the TV adaptation of Lethal Weapon, has generally kept his personal life private. The sudden exposure of his wealth and spending habits has surprised many, with fans taking to social media to joke about Stifler’s unlikely financial savvy.
